Shoppers are landing on your site.

They're just not buying.

Is your site leaving money on the table?

  • You're spending on ads or SEO - and getting traffic! -  but the sales aren't following

  • Your product pages aren't doing the work of a salesperson

  • You're not sure where in the funnel people are dropping off, or why

What clients say:

“I engaged Christine’s help for creative project support for my apparel start-up. Her background in apparel and expertise in Shopify e-commerce have been instrumental in building out a clear, organized infrastructure for my collection, my website, and my marketing efforts. Christine is organized, meticulous, and thoughtful in her work. Her feedback has consistently made my work better.” — Pam Luk, Founder, Ember + Ace

Your conversion rate is up, and it feels almost effortless. That’s because you're not chasing more traffic, you're just finally getting credit for the traffic you've already earned. You can step back, focus on your product, and know that your site is working as hard as you are.

And best of all: you can spend less on paid ads, because you’re converting more browsers to buyers.

Imagine: a site that converts the traffic you’re already getting.

That’s where a CRO retainer comes in.

CRO stands for conversion rate optimization. It's a broad umbrella of strategies that make your website better at turning visitors into buyers, without needing to increase your traffic.

Your conversion rate is the percentage of visitors who actually complete a purchase. That means even a small improvement makes a significant difference. For fashion and jewelry brands with higher average order values, a 0.2–0.3% lift in conversion rate can mean thousands of dollars in additional monthly revenue.

My CRO retainer has two key focus points:

  • -Diagnosing where and why visitors are dropping off in your funnel

  • Making targeted, strategic improvements to your site that build trust, reduce friction, and make it easier to buy

My approach: audit → recommendations → implementation → optimization.

We'll work together to improve your site's experience in a holistic way, all while making sure your brand still looks and feels like you.

Why work with me?

I may care about the numbers, but I'm not a robot.

Unlike other consultants, I've worked in both creative and strategic roles across a variety of fashion and jewelry brands, including five years at David Yurman. I understand that for luxury and premium brands, CRO isn't just about removing friction. It's about building trust while protecting your aesthetic.

I take a fresh approach to CRO because I am, first and foremost, a fashion person. Your site needs to do the work of a salesperson. This is especially true at higher price points, where a customer needs to feel reassured, not rushed.

With over a decade of experience in corporate fashion and now as a soloist, I'll help you protect and build your brand while ensuring your site converts the customers you're already attracting.

Let's figure out where your site is losing sales, and how exactly to fix it.

What CRO retainer results actually look like in practice:

Marcella New York came to me for a two-phase CRO audit and implementation. Phase 1 covered mobile navigation UX, cart and checkout simplification, upselling widgets, and site speed improvements. Phase 2 added a pre-BFCM strategy, email pop-up revamp, and mobile collection page refinements.

The results: an immediate conversion rate improvement of nearly +0.4% after Phase 1, up +0.7% year-over-year. After Phase 2, conversion rate jumped a further +0.3% - and has sustained at +0.3% month-on-month since. Not a one-time spike, but a lasting shift.

FAQs

  • CRO (aka conversion rate optimization) is the process of making your website better at turning visitors into buyers. For fashion and beauty brands, even a small improvement in conversion rate has an outsized impact because of higher average order values. It's also one of the highest-ROI marketing investments you can make, because you're getting more revenue from traffic you're already paying for.

  • Both matter, but many brands I work with have more of a conversion problem than a traffic problem. If you're running paid ads or investing in SEO and still not seeing sales, your site probably has trust or friction issues that more traffic won't fix. A CRO audit will tell you exactly where the problem is.

  • A one-time audit tells you what's wrong and what to fix first. A retainer fixes it, and keeps fixing it even as your site evolves, your product range changes, and customer behaviour shifts. Most brands need both: an audit to identify the opportunities, and ongoing work to actually capture them.

  • Depending on your traffic volume and the quantity of changes made, you should start seeing movement in conversion rate within weeks of implementation. Marcella NY saw improvement within the same month as their first round of changes.

  • Yes, Shopify is my specialty. I use Shopify's built-in funnel reporting as a starting point for every audit, and I understand the platform's strengths and constraints when it comes to CRO implementation. However, if your fashion or beauty brand is hosted elsewhere, I can still help! I just won’t be able to offer on-site adjustments.

  • Yes, and arguably more so than for large brands, because small brands can move fast. When we identify a high-impact fix, you can implement it the same week. That agility is a real competitive advantage. The brands I do my best work with are founder-led, care deeply about their product, and are ready to act on what the data is telling them. Note, though, that A/B testing requires minimum traffic thresholds, so depending on traffic volume that may not be possible for smaller sites.

  • This CRO retainer can be structured depending on your business needs, but I suggest an engagement of at least six months to ensure best long-term results. You can, however, decide to end the retainer engagement at any time with 30 days’ notice.

  • It's the percentage of people who visit your site and complete a purchase. If 1,000 people visit your site in a month and 20 buy something, your conversion rate is 2%. When I’m on retainer for you, I’m working to move that number up. Even a seemingly small improvement (like 0.3%) makes a meaningful revenue difference at scale.
